Meet the Falcon Coaching Staff

Jason Henslin - Head Football Coach

2017 was Coach Henslin's first season as the head coach at FHHS. He helped lead the team to a 6-4 regular season record, their first winning season since 2011. He credits the quick turn around on offense to his assistant coaches, Tyler Bode and Alex Cappellini. Instrumental to the program's success is his younger brother Jordan, the Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator, who brought a fierce competitive mentality to the Falcon Defense and the team as a whole.

Coach Henslin is a 2002 graduate of FHHS and was a part of the back-to-back State Championship baseball team under Coach Mike Briguglio. He was a captain on the football team and an All-Region performer both his junior and senior seasons while playing receiver and defensive back for the Falcons. After high school he went on to play football at both Pima and Scottsdale Community Colleges.

He started coaching in 2005 when his former high school coach, Jim Fairfield, hired him as the offensive coordinator for the Falcons JV football team, a position he held for two seasons. After taking an extended break from coaching to finish his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, he returned to coaching in 2015, once again at FHHS. He coached wide receivers during the 2015 & 2016 seasons under Coaches Willie Dudley & John Flynn before being named head coach in May of 2017.

He resides in FH with his amazing wife Shanna, daughter Olivia (6), and sons Reed (4) Matthew (6months). His goal as a coach and intervention counselor at the high school is this, "I want to help students reach their maximum potential and to never settle for average. Whether they are in the classroom or on the field I want them to have fun and to have a goal in mind. Athletics in high school are fun, but I hope my players leave the program knowing that their coaches care about them and that we will always be here if they need us."
